Welcome to the Applied Health Economics Lab

The size of the world’s aging population is growing at an unprecedented rate in human history. Among this aging population, increased health challenges such as mobility impairments, chronic conditions and cognitive impairment result in diminished quality of life that directly affects individuals, health care systems, and society as a whole.

At the lab, our overarching goal is to efficiently add quality life years to older Canadians by developing innovative and applied health economics research methods.
